Blockchain data platform Chainalysis has published a report indicating that a total USD 1.9 billion has been stolen from crypto hacks in H1 this year, almost 60 percent more than the same period in 2021. The report attributes much the surge to an increased volume of hacks via DeFi (decentralized finance) protocols.
