FCA Releases Engagement Paper on Future of Contactless Payment Limits

The Financial Conduct Authority published an engagement paper on the future of contactless payment limits.

 

➡️ The paper outlines potential options including raising the limit, removing it all together, or requiring payment service providers (PSPs) to adopt a risk-based approach.

➡️ The regulator argues that these changes could support innovation in fraud prevention controls and payment methods.
