OFSI and FCDO Issue Guidance on Ownership and Control

The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) and The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office have published Ownership and Control: Public Officials and Control guidance.

The guidance is applicable to all sanctions regimes, and provides information on the UK government’s approach to ownership and control in UK sanctions regulations regarding public officials and control, specifically:

  • Public officials and control of public bodies
  • Public officials and control of private entities
