IMF Publishes Guidance on Beneficial Ownership

The IMF (International Monetary Fund) have published a new book offering guidance to practitioners, policymakers, and researchers on the implementation of beneficial ownership frameworks. 

The book offers a tool for countries planning to implement comprehensive systems for holding adequate, accurate, & up-to-date beneficial ownership information.

As countries implement beneficial ownership registers over time, FIs should plan for amending their CDD approaches to take advantage of these developments in the medium to long term.
