Introduction to AI Guide Published by PSFA

The Public Sector Fraud Authority (PSFA) has published an ‘Introduction to AI’ guide, with a focus on counter-fraud.

The publication is designed to raise awareness among counter-fraud professionals of AI and its potential uses in the detection and prevention of fraud.

The guide provides insights into the current counter-fraud landscape and how AI can be used in wider efforts to tackle fraud including:

  • The use of deep fakes in scams and frauds;
  • Principles and considerations for the use of AI to fight fraud;
  • Internal guidance and insights;
  • Challenges for counter-fraud professionals to be aware of; and
  • Government organisations and initiatives, including the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the AI Safety Institute.
