UAE Added to FATF's Gray List

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has added the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its “grey list” of countries, where it will be subject to increased monitoring due to deficiencies in fighting financial crime.

The UAE was added as part of a March 4th update, acknowledging jurisdictions working with the FATF to improve:

the countering of money laundering,
terrorist financing, and
proliferation financing.
