US Treasury publishes National Strategy for 2022

FATF’s mutual evaluation report on France
Turkey’s progress in AML/CFT measures

The US treasury department has published its 2022 National Strategy for Combating Terrorist and Other Illicit Financing. The Treasury Department addresses key risks identified from 2022 national risk assessments, reflecting the challenges brought on by the pandemic and other factors such as increased digitisation in the financial sector. Priorities include the closure of regulatory gaps that allow illicit actors to anonymously through shell companies and all-cash real estate purchases and to increase the efficiency of the AML/CFT framework through the use of clear compliance guidance and information sharing.
