The High-Risk Third Countries list under Schedule 3ZA of the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 has been amended.

The list has been amended to reflect statements identifying jurisdictions with strategic deficiencies in their AML/CTF regimes published by the FATF following its October Plenary

  • Added to the list are: Bulgaria, Cameroon, Croatia, Nigeria, South Africa and Vietnam
  • Removed from the list are: Albania, Cayman Islands, Jordan and Panama

Firms should view the updated schedule and ensure that their country risk rating and enhanced due diligence processes are aligned to the current UK regulations.
