An independent review of disclosure and fraud offences in the UK has been launched.
As part of the Government’s Fraud Strategy announced in May, the independent review will consider how the disclosure regime is operating and examine the fraud legislation and penalties in place in the UK.
The Chair will report with recommendations on how to reform the disclosure regime in summer 2024, and wider recommendations on fraud offences by spring 2025.
Firms should remain aware of counter-fraud developments in the UK.
