Consultation Launched by FCA on Enforcement Cases Transparency

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has launched a public consultation on improving the pace and transparency around enforcement cases.

The FCA seeks to change how it publicises its enforcement investigations to increase transparency about its enforcement work and their deterrent effects and to disseminate best practice. Following review, the FCA further proposes to change its Enforcement Guide to reduce duplication and make information about its processes more accessible.

Feedback is requested on:

  • The wider context of FCA publicity policy changes
  • Its proposed new approach to publicising our enforcement investigations
  • FCA proposals for a revised Enforcement Guide.

Firms are invited to provide feedback during the consultation period, open until 16 April 2024.
