City of London Police announce Report Fraud launch

The City of London Police announces the launch of Report Fraud.

The new national service is designed to transform how cybercrime and fraud are reported, assessed and acted on across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Key developments include:

➡️ Single national reporting gateway: Report Fraud brings cybercrime and fraud reporting into one platform, creating a unified national front door for victims and businesses;

➡️ Enhanced intelligence and triage: Reports are assessed centrally, with serious and complex cases identified for specialist investigation and intelligence shared across police forces and partners;

➡️ Victim-centred design: Built around the victim journey, the service provides clearer reporting, consistent standards of care, and improved support for individuals and businesses;

➡️ Stronger public-private collaboration: Leveraging the City of London Police’s position within the UK’s financial centre, the platform enables faster coordination with industry, regulators and international partners;

➡️ National 4Ps response: The service strengthens policing’s ability to pursue, prevent, protect and prepare against fraud and cybercrime at a national level; and

➡️ End of Action Fraud: The new service takes over from Action Fraud, marking a reset of the UK’s fraud reporting framework after 16 years.

✅ Firms should update internal fraud reporting processes, ensure staff and customers are directed to Report Fraud, and align intelligence-sharing and response frameworks with the new national system.
