PSR's Plan and Budget for 2024-25

The Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) has published its annual plan and budget for 2024/25.

Firms regulated by the PSR can view the work plan and budget to gain insights into the forthcoming activities and objectives of the regulator.

The PSR’s work programme for 2024/25 is set to include:

  • Continued work on ensuring that the industry is ready to implement forthcoming reimbursement requirements for authorised push payment (APP) fraud, including engagement with payment service providers (PSPs) and the publication of the second set of data on PSPs’ performance on APP fraud.
  • A focus on unlocking account-to-account payments through the PSR’s role as co-chair of the Joint Regulatory Oversight Committee, including work to improve fraud detection and access, and support enhanced competition.
