New Sanctions Guidance on Risk Assessment Published by SRA

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has published new sanctions guidance on firm-wide risk assessments.

The guidance covers:

  • Risks of becoming involved in a sanctions breach;
  • The importance of having a firm-wide risk assessment;
  • How a sanctions risk assessment should look; and
  • Tips for completing a risk assessment.

Firms should view the SRA guidance to understand their legal and regulatory obligations and how to comply with them, as well as make any appropriate enhancements to their policies and procedures.
