Virtual Asset Service Providers (‘VASPs’) in Ireland have become subject to AML/CTF obligations for the first time. In addition to complying with these obligations, Irish VASPs must now register with the Central Bank of Ireland within the next three months. VASPs in Ireland should take note of this new legislative development and take necessary steps to comply.
