Follow-up report on UAE ML/TF measures

The National Crime Agency (“NCA”) has published its National Strategic Assessment for Serious and Organised Crime 2023.

The report uses intelligence and analysis collected across law enforcement and partner organisations between January and December 2022, and sets out the main threats identified during the period, alongside details of what the public can do to identify and report suspicious activity.

Two threats presented in the assessment are:

  • Fraud; and
  • Money Laundering.

Firms should read the NCA assessment and take steps to identify and mitigate fraud and money laundering threats that may impact their operations.
